Position Summary: Reporting to the Market Director, the Business Analyst is responsible for working with stakeholders to document and improve their processes and support systems to meet project and organizational objectives. Responsibilities include documenting existing business processes and requirements as well as communicating business requirements to the development team for action.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Document existing business processes through stakeholder engagement, process mapping, and documentation activities
  • Document proposed business requirements and track through change management
  • Redesign business processes based on the gathered requirements and generate the appropriate documentation
  • Schedule and conduct meetings with business stakeholders
  • Engage in change management processes with business stakeholders
  • Review completed development work to ensure alignment with business processes and requirements
  • Monitor the technical and business performance of process flows (e.g. MS Outlook, MS Project, MS Visio, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and SQL)
  • Analyze and report on the CRM performance and identify new KPIs for measuring users’ productivity and performance in the CRM system.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, or financial management
  • A sense of initiative, with the ability to set priorities and follow workflows
  • A focus on providing exceptional client service to all company staff and external stakeholders
  • Ability to apply problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to clearly communicate, both verbally and in writing, being mindful of your audience and their communication needs
  • Ability to facilitate conversations and situations that require the use of consultation, negotiation, conflict resolution, and diplomacy skills
  • Bachelor’s degree, or vocational or technical school degree or an acceptable combination of education, training, and 3-5 years of experience
  • A Business Analyst related designation would be considered an asset
  • Experience with tools such as Microsoft Office package, SQL
  • Experience in business process documentation and process design and redesign

Working Conditions:

  • The applicant must be already located in Canada, and eligible to work in Canada.
  • This role requires the candidate to work from our office located in Nanaimo, BC
  • This is a full-time, permanent position (40 hours per week)
  • Salary ranges from $26 to $35 per hour depending on candidate’s competence and skills
  • Standard working week – Monday to Friday, regular business hours.
