Professional Musician Diploma Scholarship

About the scholarship

Dermot Kennedy is one of the most successful Irish songwriters. His debut album Without Fear was released in 2019 and became the longest-running number-one album on the Irish artist charts since recording began. It is currently certified seven times platinum and has amassed over two billion global streams on digital platforms.

Dermot is partnering with the BIMM Institute in Dublin to offer a new scholarship that provides a fantastic starting platform for aspiring musicians preparing to kick off their careers. As a scholarship winner, one student will receive full tuition fees.

I’m so, so excited that the scholarship awarded in my name, in the same town where I fell in love with music, played my first show and found my way through a life in music. I’m particularly excited about choosing the recipient and hopefully helping them on their own musical journey.
