Free job search trainings in New Zealand

New Kiwis

Employment Agency New Kiwis provides an excellent opportunity for this absolutely free, and is very effective help in finding a job and understand how New Zealand’s recruitment system works.

Organised by the Auckland Chamber of Commerce and the Immigration Department, the agency aims to provide employment assistance to immigrants. On the agency’s website, you will find much information, as well as take an online test for employment.

In addition, the agency is an intermediary between employers and employees, providing a database on vacancies and CV applicants.

The most informative and valuable in our opinion is the 3-day New Kiwis Career Success Course, which is held on an ongoing basis in the company’s office. Anyone who has a work visa and is in the country for no more than 2 years can go through the course.

New Kiwis Career Success Course is held in the following cities:

  • Rotorua
  • Tauranga
  • Hamilton
  • Whangarei
  • Auckland

After completing the course you will know:

  • How and where to find work in your industry
  • How to correctly read job ads and what to look for
  • How to compile a CV and Cover Letter that will “work”
  • How to prepare for an interview and know the answers to tricky questions

The course is very interesting and takes place in the form of constant interaction between the lecturer and the group (of 20 people): the exchange of information, opinions and experiences, role-playing various situations related to employment, including interviews.

We recommend everyone to take advantage of this opportunity and register for the course at nkcs@chamber.co.nz.

ARMS

Also, the service provides information support in other areas of life in New Zealand, thus providing opportunities for ease of adaptation to immigrants.

For today ARMS offers:
