Dmitry had already visited New Zealand and, after his first trip, decided to return for a longer stay. He now lives in Wellington and is studying for a Master of Design at Whitireia & WelTec.

Why We Chose New Zealand

New Zealand was the only country we considered.

We really liked it when we first visited and spent our holiday here, and we had been planning to come back for a longer stay.

There is so much that is new and that I still need to learn, understand and accept. It is a completely different life, with many nuances of its own.

The institution is excellent. My supervisor is absolutely amazing — he seems even more invested in my studies than I am and is bursting with energy :)))

The programme turned out to be roughly what I expected.

How the Study Process Works

I am on a research programme. It gives me plenty of free time, which I can use for studying, working and travelling.

No, not yet. I am still settling in. I have not even started looking for a job or part-time work.
