This international joint Master’s program is delivered through a partnership between NIU Chile and ICL Graduate Business School in New Zealand.
Program Structure
- Semester 1 (Online, 4 months)
Students complete their first semester online with NIU Chile, earning a certificate of completion. - Semesters 2 & 3 (On-campus in New Zealand, 12 months)
Students then continue their studies in New Zealand at ICL Graduate Business School and graduate with a Master’s Degree in Business Informatics.

You can begin your studies online from the comfort of your home on one of the following dates:

NIU offers three intakes per year, allowing students to start at a time that suits their personal and professional plans.
ICL (On-campus in New Zealand)
Once you complete the NIU semester, you can transition to ICL in any of the following intakes:
- 17 November 2025
- 5 January 2026
- 23 March 2026
- July 2026
There are six intake periods per year at ICL, offering exceptional flexibility.
All students are eligible to continue their Master’s program at ICL for up to one year after completing the online semester at NIU.
This gives you:

- Apply for your New Zealand student visa
- Organize your relocation and accommodation
- Adjust your schedule and personal commitments
Entry requirements
To be eligible for admission to the Joint Master’s Program in Business Informatics (NIU + ICL), applicants must meet the following criteria:

- Academic Background
A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Specialist degree in a business-related or IT-related field with a minimum average grade of 50%,
or proven work experience in business or IT. - English Language Proficiency
An IELTS Academic score of 6.5 overall, with no band lower than 6.0, or an approved equivalent language test.
(Required only before transferring to ICL in New Zealand. Not mandatory for starting the online semester at NIU) - Progression Requirement
Successful completion of the NIU semester and receipt of the official NIU Certificate is required to proceed to ICL.
