International Trade Relations & Master of Management

International Trade Relations and Master of Management is a joint master’s program developed by the PSE consortium, created in collaboration between Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University (SPbPU) in Russia and WelTec New Zealand. It is an international program combining the academic and practical strengths of Russian and New Zealand universities.

This master’s program was specifically designed to:

  • Ease the adaptation process for students;
  • Reduce the financial burden, considering current global realities;
  • Provide students with recognized academic credentials from two countries, while allowing them to save significantly on tuition and living costs.

Advantages of the program

    • The total cost of relocation is over 40% lower compared to enrolling in a master’s program directly in New Zealand. And as you may know, pursuing a master’s degree is one of the most reliable and transparent immigration pathways.
    • Unlike most international programs, official IELTS or equivalent is not mandatory required at the beginning — only at the stage of receiving the offer and applying for the visa.
    • Smooth integration into academic process.
    • The program allows for staged financial investment in your education. You don’t need to pay for the whole tuition at once. First pay for the SPbPU online semester, and only after completing it and when applying for a student visa, proceed with payment for WelTec tuition.
    • You can prepare for relocation while studying, minimizing the stress of a sudden life change.
    • It offers an additional bonus when explaining your case to an immigration officer. Not only will you have an offer of place from the university, but also official confirmation that you are enrolled in a special joint program, and they are expecting you.
    • You will build a network of fellow students, making the move much easier — we have a private community of all current and former students of joint programs.
    • The first semester is fully online, and all lectures are recorded — so you can review them anytime. Most importantly, you don’t need to put your life on hold — you can keep working and living as usual while progressing step by step.
    • From the beginning, the program includes group projects as well as individual assignments, so you won’t be alone — support and collaboration will be there.
    • You can bring your partner (including a de facto partner) on an open work visa, and your children can attend free preschool  school in New Zealand (children are linked to the partner’s work visa).
    • You have the right to work up to 20 hours per week during your studies and unlimited hours during official breaks in New Zealand.
    • After graduation, you can apply for a 3-year open post-study work visa.
    • You receive maximum immigration points for your master’s degree when applying for residency under the Skilled Migrant Category, with potential additional points for New Zealand work experience in your field.
