Graduate Diploma in Teaching (Early Childhood Education) Level 7
The program focuses on preparing teachers to work with children aged 0 to 6 years.
It can also serve as a pathway to postgraduate programs in more specialized areas of Early Childhood Education (ECE), such as teaching children with special needs, Māori tikanga knowledge, or Pasifika education.
The diploma enables graduates to pursue further studies toward a Master of Education degree at various higher education institutions and universities in New Zealand and abroad.
The program meets the standards set by NZQA and the New Zealand Teaching Council. Graduates are eligible to apply for teacher registration in New Zealand.
The speciality is in the Green List, thus a student’s partner may get Partner of a Student Work Visa. The program graduates will be able to apply for Post Study Work Visa for 1 year.
The majority of graduates finds job in various positions as teachers and managers in a primary education sector.

Admission requirements
- Bachelor’s degree diploma or recognized equivalent,
- IELTS Academic 7.0 all skills or equivalent,
- Meeting the literacy and numeracy requirements at university entrance level,
- Police clearance certificate (no criminal record)
- Two letters of recommendation,
- Successful selection interview to assess values, disposition, and suitability for teaching.
