In November 2022, Kiwi Education visited one of the best Culinary Schools in New Zealand, located in Wellington. We saw with our own eyes what the school looks like, the fully equipped classrooms and kitchens, and of course, we had the chance to talk with the teachers (French chefs) and managers. We were delighted to take part in a High Tea ceremony and to see the wonderful results of the current students’ work.
Le Cordon Bleu is a French school founded in Paris in 1895. Today, it is a global brand represented in 20 countries around the world, with around 40 schools under the Le Cordon Bleu name. Its graduates work in the world’s best restaurants as head chefs, pastry masters, and managers.
The school is located in the central part of Wellington. The campus includes state-of-the-art kitchens, demonstration classrooms, and spacious areas for high-quality learning. The school also has a small in-house restaurant where High Tea ceremonies, lunches, and dinners are held for visitors.
Students study in a warm New Zealand atmosphere under the guidance of experienced professional chefs. During their studies, students not only complete theoretical courses but also gain extensive practical skills. Wellington, being the capital, has a huge number of restaurants and cafés where students can easily find part-time work while studying.
