FEEDBACK FROM MARINA
My adventure to New Zealand started with Denis Vlasin from Kiwi Education back in Moscow when we discussed about the English language schools which prepare for the IELTS tests. The IELTS certificate was necessary for me to apply for university in Auckland. I graduated in Moscow so the range of universities for my major (finance) was quite large. Now I am about to complete my one-year Postgraduate Diploma in Business (Banking and Finance) course at Massey University and I am going to apply for a Post-Study Work Visa for next one year. Since my first arrival to New Zealand I haven’t have an idea whether I would like to stay in this country or return to Russia. Now I’m sure that I want to live here and find a job. Next I will explain you all my impressions about the country, schools and Kiwi Education.
As a language school we chose the Unique New Zealand School. This is a lovely school which is located in the northern part of Auckland on the Browns Bay beach where I spent all my free time from school. In addition to the perfect location, I’ve been taught by the most wonderful and understanding teachers. Therefore, I would be happy to recommend this school to everyone else!
After receiving the IELTS certificate, Denis found a suitable course for me in AUT and Massey University. I chose Massey because of the North Shore location which I found more suitable for living. After attending the university at first time I realized that the education systems of these countries are completely different and the NZ’s emphasise mostly on self-study. Also, you have an opportunity to choose the papers from the list related to your major, usually it’s 4 papers per year for Postgraduate study. In the university campus there is a huge library which involves not only the storage of books, but also many tables for self-preparation, computers, group study rooms and a student cafe. All students are available to attend the helping courses foe assignments, for example, how to write an essay or a thesis, which is very useful! Also in university area you easily can find a sport centre and a health centre which is very convenient for visiting. Therefore, I am absolutely satisfied with the chosen university and the course.
As for the country itself, I immediately fell in love with its nature and climate. During the year I have visited a lot of towns and they all are beautiful, clean and friendly. Instead of going to the gym I prefer now tracking and hiking and other outdoor activities. There are many beautiful spots in the city itself which speaks about good ecology.
Finally, I would like to express my great gratitude to Kiwi Education and to Denis Vlasin especially, who helped me to go through this entire preparation for arrival to such unfamiliar country. I sent him lots of emails with questions and he always answered them in detail and quickly. It was very surprising to realise that they do not get fees for assistance because they receive a commission from the schools themselves, universities and so on.
